KCE Trials is een niet-commercieel programma voor klinische studies, dat wordt gefinancierd door de Belgische federale overheid. Het behandelt vragen die de industrie meestal niet opneemt, ondanks hun grote maatschappelijke belang.
 
Op dit symposium zullen de resultaten van drie belangrijke Belgische studies worden voorgesteld, met in de namiddag de focus op klinische studies in chirurgie.
